Payment Information
- The cost of the program is $25.00 per hour for a series of 1 hour sessions. The full amount is to be pre-paid with checks made out to Bellak Math Prep, LLC.
- If the agreement is signed and you have pre-paid in full, you will be entitled to a $5.00 per session discount.
- Bringing a referral who enrolls and prepays in full entitles you to another discount.
- Payment plans are available but do NOT qualify for any pre-payment discount.
- All payments are non-refundable except for Bellak Math Prep initiated reasons.
- Attendance is contingent on prepayment of the session fees.
- The choice of materials to be used will depend on the needs of the students.
- It is possible that parents will need to purchase a book(s) to use as a resource, and this would be above and beyond the cost of the program. Notebooks, paper, pencils, and scientific calculators are required, as well, but not included .
Expectations
In order to fully benefit from this program, students are expected to attend all sessions, bring materials, participate in class discussion and activities, and do any assignments which might be given. Parents are welcome to stay for the sessions if space is available. Cell phones should not be used in class and should be turned off. Parents need to sign students in and out of class as adult supervision is needed at all times. Terms of the agreement need to be followed.
Good Study Habits
- Have a positive attitude.
- Select a good “study buddy”, or small group of friends who can help you on homework and/or answer some of your questions. Don’t treat this as social time.
- Friendship is good, but make sure specific time is set aside for discussion of the material.
- Check your work.
- Learn from your mistakes.
- Keep an organized notebook for current and future reference.
- Ask questions.
- Practice, practice, practice.
- Study math with a pencil.
- Actually work out problems instead of just looking over material.
