Attention Algebra 1 Students!!!
Do you realize that you MUST pass the State End-of-Course Exam in order to get credit for this course? This is a new requirement this year. You could have an A average and still not get credit for Algebra 1 if you don’t pass this final.
Mrs. Bellak has a high success rate in getting students ready for state exams in Algebra. She teaches Elementary Algebra at Pasco-Hernando Community College, and last term 93% of her students who completed the course also passed the state exam. In addition, she coached her school’s Algebra 1 team for 25 years, and had her team place in the top three in the county for 23 of those 25 years. Her team took 1st place in the county 17 of those 25 years. Her track record speaks for itself. She can help you, too.
Mrs. Bellak offers a program after school (Bellak Math Prep) which goes into more detail than time allows in the regular classroom. This will give you an advantage when taking the end-of-course exam, as well as all the way through the course. Some students wait until right before the exam and then try to cram a whole-course review into a few weeks. That usually does not work well, so please don’t wait until then or until you have fallen behind in the course to get extra help.
Bellak Math Prep for Algebra 1 meets on Fridays from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. in room 192 at Seven Springs Middle School.
You may join anytime by just attending and having a parent register you when picking you up from your 1st session.

Bellak Math Prep also offers math help for students grade 6 through 8 on general math and pre-algebra topics. These sessions are on Tuesdays from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. in room 192 at Seven Springs Middle School. You may join anytime by just attending and having a parent register you when picking you up from your 1st session. Mrs. Bellak covers topics in more detail than is possible in the time allowed for regular classes, and so can increase your success rate in math.
